A Vancouver limousine rental is not a self-drive vehicle. The limousine and chauffeur are reserved for a transfer or service window. Weddings, graduations, celebrations and multi-stop events often use hourly service because the vehicle needs to remain available between locations.
Ask where the billed time begins and ends, whether a minimum number of hours applies and how overtime is handled. A four-hour minimum and a two-hour minimum create very different total prices even when the advertised hourly rates look similar.
Hourly service should remove scheduling friction
Keeping the same vehicle can be useful when the group has several stops or the exact finish time is uncertain. If everyone will spend most of the reservation inside one venue, separate transfers may be more efficient. Compare the transportation structure rather than assuming the longest hourly booking is always the most convenient.
Multi-stop itineraries should list the locations in order. Tell the booking team which stops are pickups, drop-offs or waiting locations. This makes it easier to estimate the service period and reduces the chance that a major stop is treated as a last-minute addition.
What to confirm before the vehicle arrives
A useful confirmation should show the local date and pickup time, exact pickup location, destination, passenger count, vehicle category and pricing basis. Airport trips should include flight information. Multi-stop or hourly bookings should list the major stops and expected finish point. If a particular vehicle style, luggage capacity or pickup procedure is essential, have that detail confirmed before the day of service.
Transportation plans can change, but changes should go through one clear contact. For group and event bookings, designate one person who can communicate updates with dispatch or the chauffeur. That avoids several passengers sending conflicting instructions and makes it easier to keep the itinerary current.
Specialty vehicles may have different booking conditions
Stretch limousines and other specialty vehicles can have different availability, deposits or cancellation terms from ordinary airport sedans and SUVs. If exterior colour, vehicle style or a specific category matters to the event, have that requirement confirmed and ask how substitutions are handled if an operational problem occurs.
Cancellation and deposit terms should be reviewed at the same time as the hourly rate. Event and specialty vehicles may have stricter booking conditions because they are harder to replace on short notice. Ask when the deposit becomes non-refundable, how date changes are handled and whether vehicle-category changes affect the agreement.
Passengers should also understand that travel time between stops counts within an hourly reservation. Several distant pickups can use much more of the service window than a similar number of downtown stops. Estimate loading, driving and waiting together when deciding how many hours to reserve.
